I love green - forest green, olive green, lime green, aqua, teal, pale green.  But not this one.  It sort of looks like it couldn't make up its mind what it wanted to be.  But then, I don't understand the Pantone colors - especially the year of fuschia lol.

I'm with Stacy on this...I love blues and greens, but this looks like lime green (according to my screen), and I can tell you now, I'm not whipping out the paint brush on this one.....

Wouldn't it be nice if we could buy the colors we, as individuals, liked instead of being swamped by the current 'color of the year'.

Exactly!  Just who comes up with the color of the year, and why?  To get you to buy more things you don't need? Because it is not the color of the year.....

I went to a lecture at a Benjamin Moore paint store once. The lecturer asked for a show of hands. First, who came to learn to use trendy colors. Then she asked who came to avoid trendy colors. We were evenly split! I like this particular green because my house is a Frank Lloyd Wright knock-off. My goal is to decorate in colors he would have used. It looks like pond scum to me. Or an un-updated avocado kitchen. It would look nice in my home and ugly in a home that didn't have a supporting cast of earth tones.

This is not my favorite green, but it is quite nice looking on my screen.  A very natural and soothing color that teams up nicely with purple, navy, etc.  I have already seen, and even bought, nice fabric lines including this green.  I am not running out to buy a sweater this color, as it would be a bit bright for that!

Yes, this particular green I could see just a little as an accent color.  No thanks to garment, wall colors, etc.

I like the way you put that, VaNella.
I like some things now as a quilter, that I never dreamed
I would.
I guess I see it as a leaf color and that is ok with me bc
I am a flower/garden lover.
Ain't gonna paint my walls with it, but in the right combination
I could see some ppl doing this. Just sayin'. ;)

I have always said, "I love green, any color", and if you add a bit of blue, that makes it twice as nice.

I avoid trendy  colors due to going  out  of  fashion  in a short time. Should  a garment, drape, piece  of  furniture  need to be replaced  in a couple  years  it can be difficult  to impossible.  So primary  and  secondary  colors work for me.

True. But on my screen this looks more yellow  green. Sometimes  when we comment  on  subjects  like this I wonder  how much our  opinions  are based on personal  likes and on how our screens project the object.  Hmmmm

Green and new beginnings are both great!  I guess that particular shade would be used in moderation - a little could go a long way!  Glad that yellow/gray thing is going bye-bye.

on my screen this is almost exactly the color of the leaves on plants and shrubs in my garden in spring.  Yes slightly more yellow than summer leaves but still quite green.  Not my most favorite shade but still nice.  So I agree it is a matter of taste and how our screens project the image.  My tastes in green tend to move over on the color wheel closer to the blue side.

I think it's a pretty green and would look nice as an accent in a quilt.  No walls or clothes though.  I am not a trendy person, I like what I like and if it isn't the current 'trend', oh well.  It would look good with blues, purples, yellows.  Not the main color, like I said, an accent.

I needed a new couch.  I went to the furniture store.  I was hoping for sage green.  My living room gets a lot of light that tends to make things look more grey than they are.  The perky salesperson showed me one that I knew would look grey, not sage, when it hit my living room.  She smiled and said "But grey is so trendy right now, don't you want to be young and modern?".   Sometimes I think my life motto is "There are some people who are still alive simply because I don't want to go to prison" lol.
