Here is one from last Fri and then the next few are Sat.
Friday it was the Pileated, out busting stumps in the sunshine. Saturday and Sunday, it was crowd day at the picnic table, for suet cakes.

The birds thought so.  Thank goodness our new Tractor Supply store opened a week ago and I managed to get 12 suet cakes for $8 and I had 4 that I bought on opening day.  There are 9 left.

I love feeding the Birds, but boy it does get expensive!  So now we mostly feed in the Winter when there is snow on the ground. In the Summer, I figure they have good pickings!

Beautiful  weather for a string  of  days. It's  laundry day so my lines will be full. Sadly there has been a run on prayer quilts at my church  leaving us with a scant stock. So I moved the machine  onto the back porch to sew between laundry  loads. SUNSHINE! And it isn't  glistening off icicles.  Woo-hoo. :)

We are actually getting Mid Summer weather! 81 and still have some heating to go.  Had the Dogs out while we put some stuff over head of the Tractor shed away, like all Willie's stuff from his surgeries, like pens and such and our roamer Waylon was actually laying on the front deck, like would someone please let me back in the house where it is cooler!  I actually caught Willie just before he was going to go for a swim, yes it is good exercise for him, but I don't want to deal with a wet dog right now!

:)  Yup, into pond then the cow pasture to roll in the grass (ha) and mud.  And as the weather warms they will be in the pond every chance they get.  :-(

Now that you mention it, yes they do roll around every time they get out, usually just after the grass is cut, so all that sticks to them or else in the gravel (dirt) driveway. I deal with wet dogs all Summer, so they don't need to start this early.  As it is they usually go in the creek at least once a day, but that is flowing fast enough it cleans them off good....if they don't roll.

I think they enjoy the roll just as much as they do the water.   :)

You should have seen Willie yesterday! We have this brown algae on the pond, and it seems the only way to get it off is take a rake and pull it up on shore, it then dries out to like ash?  Anyway we take turns doing it and Duane took Willie, (actually he slipped out the door on him) with him.  What a happy, happy dog! He got to go frogging for about an hour. That's what we call it, he likes to try and catch the frogs. He was wet, muddy, stinky, but having a ball, as he has not been able to do that since last summer! Duane said he was having such a good time, he didn't have the heart to tell  him to come back in or stay out of the water.  He said he deserved the fun after what he has been through!

I agree.  Also, now that spring has sort of appeared, Shaft has taken up his frog hunting again at the stock pond. He will make about 6 attempted snatches and then give up for the day.  Fun to watch him trying to be stealth-cat.
