Well will he eat it and it get caught in his throat?  Will it give him the wild woods trots? If none of the above then by all means. My girls eat some of the weirdest combination of foods.  Phoebe loves yogurt and Doritoes together. Eeeyuck.....  Mickey loves cheeries and peanut butter.  Go figure.
I am a longarmer with pricing starting at .015 per square inch, send pm for information please

Oh he will eat them in a heartbeat.  I have just never seen him looking to  pick one off the tree!  While they are really green, we try to limit how many they eat by picking up the ones that drop, because he does get what you call the wild woods trots from green ones!  When we pick them in the fall, we have crates of them that we put down in the storm cellar, and you have to watch him when you go in there as he will grab himself an apple every time! One time he got locked in there for about 15 mins....we couldn't find him and then remembered DH had been down to the cellar....sure enough, there he was, apple in mouth also!  This year is going to be a bumper year, that tree is loaded, so they will be getting lots of apples come fall for treats.

Waylon is a beautiful dog.  My son has a German Shepherd and she eats all citrus fruit as well as guavas, passionfruit and raw pumpkin. There are  many fruit trees etc on his property and the dog just helps herself.  This has been going on for the past two years and so far there haven't been any problems.

So sweet!  I love the way Waylon is pondering that apple.  And all the stories about foods dogs eat.

Lucille is a picky eater...and a gourmet.  Seriously.  She eats her kibble, but only one brand.  But other foods...she turns her nose up a processed American cheese (the kind in the plastic wrapper) but will (and has) eaten an entire wedge of brie.  She turns her nose up at packaged ham slices...but Black Forest Ham from the deli?  She throws herself against me demanding it.  Margarine? She just walks away.  Butter? she's whining and head butting for it.  The only fruits she will eat are grapes (how ironic, since dogs can't eat them, so she never gets them) and those expensive fresh raspberries that come in a tiny container and cost 1/4 of my pension check lol.  Packaged cookies? She actually gets a look of disdain on her face as if saying "what is this?", but if I make cookies, she's right there!

I had a poodle once years ago who loved left over salad, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, onions, but ignored any cucumber pieces.  Dressing and all if it was included, all varieties, but 'specially Chunky Blue Cheese was a favorite.

That reminds me of our Late Jamie and Jessie...they ate what ever we had for dinner. My DH started that one, and they got where they would not eat dog food, but got a plate of whatever we had.  Well Jamie hated Corn!  You could mix it in mashed potatos gravy, anything, but when he got done eating the plate would be licked clean, except for kernals of corn all over it.  We never could figure out how he could lick that plate so clean and leave the corn!

I had a dog years ago that thought anything we had must be good. Well we had a Crabapple tree for a couple of years. It was old when we moved into that house. Anyway I had a bunch of those tiny apples in a bowl & was pulling the stems off of 'em so I could make Crabapple Butter. I would drop one every once in a while & our dog Jack would pounce on it. He would eat it but his lips would be pulled back in a grimace the whole time. Gosh those are a really tart fruit!

  LOL  :)

Years ago we had a shepherd that would pull her lips back and pick any carrots out and drop them next to her bowl.  Couldn't sneak 'em in at all.
