Thanks...I'll have to watch youtube to see how to do it.

For sure!!  Without the "how to" on those videos, I would do everything wrong ... cutting off what I should be leaving and vice versa.  There are a few differences in the 'how-to' recommendations and there is one young guy on a video that I thought was a complete twit and waste of time.  The 2 worthwhile videos I watched (and there may be more that I haven't seen) were from blueberry patches in much cooler climates than here, so I'm figuring after our first freeze, I can do it safely.

Blueberry  house. Panels open after all are picked. They are closed in late spring  after teeny berries  have set on. That way the blossoms  are pollinated

After moving 3 years ago, I realized, I don't miss the snow, my old neighbors, my old house, etc etc.  But I really really miss my garden.  I'm living vicariously through all your stories of fruits and veggies, picked warm in the sun.  Thank you all for sharing stories and pictures :)

VP, how are you liking our summers?

Dh and I talk about gardening.
I did get some tomatoes and cucumbers planted
in an old kiddy pool. They are doing well.
I might try some of those pots next year if
dh doesn't till the ground.
I love blueberries.
I have some in the freezer and dh's diabetic.
Think we need a cobbler.  :)

I'll be picking this weekend, if I have time. DS & DB coming in for the weekend, uncle coming in Monday for the day,  and Sunday is our anniversary. If we get some picked, there will be a pie on the table for desert. :)

I just picked what looked worth picking this a.m.; it seems to take me longer to get the picking done only to end up with less berries.  I'm actually looking forward to blueberry bush pruning time a few months from now.  Meanwhile, I've saved enough from the last few pickings to make a big cobbler today.  It's a recipe that's new to me & I'm hoping it will not be doughy.  I'll be substituting Stevia for sugar, but that's supposed to not be a problem.  I'll be back here tonight or tomorrow with a cobbler critique.

And, BTW, got my first few ripe cherry tomatoes this morning.  Yum!

I have a couple small blueberry bushes in a flowerbed. We have watched the birds and a squirrel fight over the ripe berries before.
It was quite entertaining. LOL
I might have to consider a house for them when we move and retire. :)
To me quilts are like a permanent symbol of love from the person that made it for you.
Long after they are gone, you still have the proof of their love for you at your fingertips.
